MG Comet EV: 300 km on a single charge, Available on India in March

After a long wait, the country's smallest electric car MG Comet is finally going to enter the Indian market next month i.e. April. British company MG Motors (MG Motors) recently released the pictures of their two-door wee car. Its length is only 2.9 meters. That means it is smaller than the Tata Nano and will be known as the smallest passenger car in the country. The ex-showroom price is likely to be around Rs 10 lakh. The car rivals Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3 in the market.

The front of the car features dual vertically stacked headlamps, LED daytime running lamps with integrated turn indicators and a dual tone front bumper. An LED light bar is again present below the wind screen with a chrome strip, which extends along the ORVM. The company has already released several images of the Comet and each of them features a dual-tone color theme.

The MG Comet electric car is based on the company's new 'Global Small Electric Vehicle' or GSEV platform. The tall car has boxy styling. It is largely similar in design to the Wuling Air EV sold in the Indonesian market. Located below the MG branding in the middle of the front fascia is the charging port. The MG ZS EV also features a charging port at the same location.

The MG Comet EV features a large rear quarter glass to add a sense of spaciousness to the cabin. This little car with wheel covers will run on 12 inch steel. The rear of the small EV features a high-mounted stop lamp, vertically stacked tail lamps, and a flat rear bumper with a licensing plate. Despite its compact design, the MG Comet EV promises passenger comfort and a host of features. The cabin of the car is similar to the Air EV in terms of features and design. It will feature a layered dashboard with dual tone shades.

Also present are sleek air conditioning vents, traditional rotary knob for AC control, multi-functional two-spoke steering wheel, automatic air conditioning, keyless entry, connected car technology and 10.25-inch dual display for digital instrument console and touchscreen infotainment unit.

Wuling Air EV's battery pack is used to power the upcoming MG Comet EV. The entry level variant may be offered with a 17.3 kWh battery pack. It will run for 200 km on a single charge. On the other hand, the high-end variant can see a 26.7 kWh battery pack. Which will provide a range of 300 km.
