But the worst part of Google was that Google never prioritized itself when searching on Google. But recently ChatGTP has brought a big revolution in the internet world, suppose you write a letter, you do some work on your website, you write some coding, you want to know any cooking recipe, or you want to know how to do any work, you just search it on ChatGTP. So this is the reason why since the day ChatGTP was launched, the question started to rise whether this ChatGTP can give competition to Google? And this is why google recently launched its new AI called Google Bird. Many people's question is whether Google Bird can compete with the growing influence of ChatGTP or how Google Bird can compete with ChatGTP equally.
Google recently launched its new AI language model Google Bard. Google launched its own language model in 2021 which was called LaMDA (language model for dialogue applications) and this new AI language model Google Bard is based on it. At its core, Google chat what is powered by LAMDA. Google's language model builts on Transformer. Also Open AI's ChatGTP language model, which is also built on transformer. Google's research team find a open source transformer to buit The LAMDA Project in 2017, and ChatGTP also use this open source to make there platform.
How we can use Google Bard ?
Google bard is not available for the public now, the Google Bard is now available for some specific person for testing. Google say there blog that they releasing the lightweight model vision of LaMDA which requires less computing power.
Google also said there blog that, "we will combine external feedback with our own internal testing to make sure Bard's responses meet a high bar for quality safety and groundedness in real world information".
Actually LaMDA was launched in 2021, but a formal employee alleged that this language model offered resist and sexist response & the employee is also alleged that LaMDA is Sentient, so for that reason the LaMDA project was paused.
On the other hand ChatGTP also offer incorrect answers but ChatGTP's almost 90% answer are correct and it's developer OpenAI, claims that chatbot will improve as further upgrades are constantly being rolled out.
But a report also recently claimed that Google's LaMDA is also getting batter at response on some occasions and it outperformed ChatGTP.
Why Did Google Get Late ?
Google has been working on its language model for long time, but company paused its roll out after allegation it's employees, Google's CEO Sundar pichai indicated during the last earning call that the world ready for generative AI, following the positive response towards ChatGPT.
Apart from Bird Google is also improving search with AI capabilities.
