Kawasaki 125 cc upcoming EV

At the Intermot 2022 event held in Germany, Japanese two-wheeler brand Kawasaki (Kawasaki) showed a glimpse of their upcoming electric motorcycle prototype or sample model. Which is based on the Kawasaki Z250 street naked model. It is estimated that the company will launch the displayed model in the international market in 2023. But this is not the first time, Kawasaki unveiled this same concept motorcycle for the first time at the 'Suzuki 8 Hours Endurance Race' in August. Along with this, the curtain was also dropped on a hybrid model.

Previously, Kawasaki announced that they will introduce 10 electric models to the market by 2025. Which will include fully electric and hybrid motorcycles. It is assumed that the production version of this prototype is going to be the first model of those ten electric motorcycles. In terms of design, it shares a lot of similarities with the Kawasaki Z250. It will have an electric motor with a chain drive system. Where the battery pack can be inside the tank.

In terms of hardware, the electric bike will have a telescopic front fork and rear mono-shock suspension. Disc brakes will be provided on both wheels. Besides, Kawasaki has not revealed any specific information about the electric motorcycle. Leaked documents claim that its motor output could be 14.8 hp, which is equivalent to a 125 cc bike.

No information is known about the bike's battery capacity, range, and charging time. Meanwhile, Kawasaki recently announced a tie-up with Toyota to use hydrogen as a fuel. Which can be used in Kawasaki's two-wheeler.
