The Maruti EVX electric SUV concept is based on a completely new design. It is the company's first fully-electric vehicle. Its production design has been spotted in a few test spy shots recently. These spy images reveal the design details of this new electric SUV.
• Design: Maruti EVX is coming with a new and sharp design. The front has a closed grille with the Suzuki logo below the thick chrome bar in the center. There are LED DRLs on either side of the chrome bar. These DRLs feature the Next-style triple ice-cube DRL signature. The LED headlights are housed in a small pod below the DRLs. The lower bumper is black and extends upwards. Round fog lights and silver faux skid plates look pretty good. The company has given the side profile sporty design. The thick C-pillar on the car makes it clear that it is inspired from the Jeep Avenger. The 10-spoke design alloy wheels are seen in silver finish in test spy shots. It also features square shaped alloy wheels and shark fin antenna. Thick side body cladding covers most of the body, it will also be available with a black roof with silver roof rails. Concept cars usually have a more aggressive design than the final production model. However, its production spec EVX render has all the features of the EVX Concept. So the testing prototype of this car is expected to be very similar to the production model.
• Battery & Milaga: The Maruti Suzuki EVX Concept was shown with a 60 kWh battery pack, which is more than current compact electric SUVs (MG ZS EV-50 kWh, Mahindra XUV400-39.5 kWh). The company claims that this car will give a range of about 550 kilometers on a single charge. The actual range of the production spec EVX is expected to be around 450 km.• Expected Launch Date: The global debut of the new Maruti EVX is likely in 2024, with an India launch in 2025. Maruti EVX electric SUV may be manufactured in India and from here it will be exported to other countries. After its launch in India, the Maruti EVX will compete with the upcoming Creta EV, Seltos EV, Tata Curve.
