Twitter has removed the blue tick from the accounts of users who have not subscribed to the Twitter blue tick. The main reason for this is that their Twitter subscription has expired.
This new company of Elon Musk launched this subscription model last year. The company has decided to remove this blue tick from the account of users who did not deposit money for this subscription before April 20. This date was initially set for April 1. Twitter, however, postponed the date to April 20.
Twitter has removed the blue tick from the accounts of several popular personalities in the country such as Mamata Banerjee, Yogi Adityanath, Rahul Gandhi, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, cricketer Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly. Although several accounts where blue tick did not take subscriptions such as America basketball player LeBron James and author Stephen King.
The old system blue ticks were given to those users who had a high popularity and namesake. Users had to fill out a form to get this blue tick. But after Elon Musk bought Twitter, some new rules and features were introduced, as a result of which Twitter closed the old system.
